The aim of education in 21st Century is being redefined. It is not only for employment generation but also to create a better world through understanding and development of human qualities. It is very essential to integrate the IT with education in order to have the advantage of edge education. In the context of Uttarakhand with special reference to geographical location of schools in interior rural areas, inadequate transport and communication facilities make it imperative to take advantage of IT, to provide accessibility of quality education to every child.

Objective of ICT Implementation in school

1 To integrate information technology with schooling and education to empower learners to acquire skills, knowledge and understanding.
2 Shift emphasis of learning method from acquiring information to constructing knowledge with their own experience to enable them to become autonomous learners.
3 Make school education relevant to changing nature of workplaces.
4 Enabling students to access, collate and organize information from different sources in the world and encourage on-line learning.
5 Facilitate the teachers and the students to effectively carry on classroom teaching learning process.
